Leading a farming revolution in Minnesota with their scaled up high tunnel production is the Untiedt family of Untiedt’s Vegetable Farm, Inc. in Waverly and Montrose. Also called hoophouses, high tunnels are essentially unheated greenhouses in which vegetables, fruits and herbs are planted directly into the ground. The Untiedts have been using sustainable and regenerative farming practices to produce high-quality plants and vegetables for fifty years.
