Shepherd’s Way Farms

Steven Read and Jodi Ohlsen Read of Shepherd’s Way Farms in Nerstrand, a sheep’s milk cheese farm, began farming in 1994 after thinking long and hard about how they wanted to live their lives. Their belief in sustainable farming is strong: “At Shepherd’s Way Farms, we believe there’s a way to live that combines hard work, creativity, respect for land and animals, and a focus on family and friends. We believe the small family-based farm still has a place in our society.”
